These mosaics are made using broken glass shards from three dimensional work. The mosaic is a study in topography, as the convex and concave shapes of the glass shards create movement on the mosaic's surface. Mosaics are for sale from inventory as well as by commission. Ascension of Youth

This 48” x 48” mosaic was created using glass shards and three varieties of marble. The glass shards create a topographic quality across the mosaic surface. The figure is made from the marble. This mosaic is an allegorical image. The figure is ascending from a primordial fire. She holds a bird in her hand. The bird represents infinite possibility. She represents human kind, as each of us comes into the fullness of our adulthood from youth. This is the point is a human life span where physical beauty and strength is at its apex. The mind is fresh with the infinite possibilities that a life span holds.
